Ralph is a minor character from a 8-bit video game. He is tired of being in the shadow of the main hero Felix, who is always there to fix the situation when he is needed. After 30 years of being a villain, Ralph is sick and tired of being a bad guy. He decides to go off on a journey in arcade games of different genres to prove everyone that he can be a hero. On his way he meets the heroes from various games: cold blooded Sergeant Calhoun from the game Hero’s Duty, who protects the planet from invasion of aliens, and the sweet-looking but sharp-tongued Vanellope von Schweetz, whose presence in the racing simulator Sugar Rush becomes at a risk. Finally, Ralph has a chance to show that there is something he can except of destroying everything.
