"Call sign Tamada" is a military tragicomedy about a cheerful and carefree host of events, who after the start of a full-scale invasion becomes a volunteer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The main character of the series, Artem Didov, is an almost forty-year-old host of wedding celebrations, a ballad singer and the soul of the company. He lives a cheerful, carefree life, interrupted by occasional earnings. Before the war, he loses everything - his bride leaves him, and later he is left without a job. On the eve of the invasion, Artem gets drunk and wakes up in the morning from explosions and a terrible hangover. Confused and devastated, Artem understands that the war suddenly becomes a new starting point for him - the moment from which he can start building himself anew. Already in the training part, he is given the callsign "Tamada", at first as a mockery, but later this callsign in the speech of his comrades becomes more and more real respect. "Tamada" is not at all one of those who is born to be a hero, but is forced to become one, although he treats it with a smile and humor.
