Окончил гидрографическое отделение Ленинградского высшего военно-морского училища (1954), режиссерский факультет ВГИКа (1965, мастерская Ю.Геники).
С 1965 — работал на Одесской киностудии, режиссер научно-популярного, документального и игрового кино.
