Родился 9 марта 1960 года в Бердичеве Житомирской области Украинской ССР.
В 1988 году окончил эстрадно-джазовое отделение Ростовской государственной консерватории по классу саксофона (педагог Е. Гнездилов), в 1992 году — сценарное отделение ВКСР (мастерская С. Лунгина, Л. Голубкиной).
