Родился в городе Гостомель, Киевская область 29 сентября 1953 года.Окончил актерский факультет Киевского государственного института театрального искусства им. И. К. Каpпенко-Каpого. В 1985 окончил Высшие курсы сценаристов и режиссеров (мастерская В. Грамматикова).
