Начал карьеру в кино со съемок короткометражных фильмов. Его дебютный фильм 2002 года под названием "Ускоренная перемотка" получил признание и был показан более чем на 25-ти кинофестивалях. Помимо этого картина была удостоена премии Кинофестиваля Колумбийского университета в номинации "лучший фильм", а также "Приза Большого жюри" в номинации "лучший короткометражный фильм".
