Родился 1 января 1961 года.
В 1983 году окончил Школу-студию МХАТ и был принят в труппу театра.Активный участник шуточной "Массовской ложи", организованной молодыми артистами МХАТа (имелось в виду, что молодым актерам в академических театрах светит только массовка).В 1988-1990 — актер Театра-студии «Человек». В 1990-1998 — МХАТа имени А.П.Чехова.
С 1999 года живет во Франции, активно снимается в кино, играет в парижских театрах.
