Родилась 31 июля 1944 года в городе Санта-Моника (Калифорния). Она была первым ребёнком, рождённым в браке Ч. Чаплина с его последней женой Уной О’Нил. Воспитывалась преимущественно в интернате в Швейцарии, занималась балетом. В возрасте восьми лет появилась на экране в фильме Чаплина «Огни рампы».

В дальнейшем пошла по стопам отца, став актрисой. В 1965 году снялась в последнем его фильме «Графиня из Гонконга», как и многие другие родственники Чарли Чаплина.
