Родился 3 апреля 1948 года в Москве. Учился в школе рабочей молодёжи, в ПТУ на токаря, работал на заводе. Служил в армии в Таманской дивизии. Окончил ВГИК (1970, мастерская Б. Бабочкина).
С 1970 — актер Театра-студии киноактера. С 1995 работает в Малом театре.
Брат Валерия Носика.Сын Тимофей погиб в Кармадонском ущелье вместе со съёмочной группой Сергея Бодрова.Дочери - двойняшки Даша и Катя тоже актрисы.
Заслуженный артист РФ (1993).
