Родился 24 августа 1946 года в деревне Булатово Вурнарского района. После окончания Ленинградского института театра, музыки и кино (курс Аркадия Кацмана) работал в Чувашском академическом драматическом театре, Ленинградском театре оперетты, Тбилисском русском драматическом театре. Сейчас живет в Москве.
