Родился 23 февраля 1937 года. В 1959 году окончил институт физкультуры имени Лесгафта. В1958-1961 годах - старший тренер ДСО "Динамо" в Ленинграде, в 1961-1964 годах - тренер ЦСКА. Мастер спорта (1955).В кино был приглашен именно как опытный фехтовальщик. Одновременно играл роли и был постановщиком трюков.Директор студии "Мосфильм-автотрюк" с 1990 по 2002.
