Lina and Max live in New York and want to spend Christmas in their small hometown, but a powerful snowstorm cancels their flight. Realising that there is no point in delaying any longer, they set off on their own journey, braving the cold, unpredictable weather conditions and a series of unexpected adventures on their way home. Along the way, they meet kind strangers who are ready to help, and they gradually realise that the most important thing about the holiday is not the location, but the opportunity to be together and support each other.
