24 hours a day, seven days a week, without breaks or days off! This is how a typical emergency hospital operates. Dozens of new patients arrive here every day. Each has their own story of illness, behind which lie real hardships and personal tragedies. And the doctors on duty become unwitting participants in these dramas. Sometimes they just observe the course of events, and sometimes they intervene in the fate of patients, helping them not only to recover, but also to make vital decisions. ‘The Doctor on Duty’ is the first Ukrainian-language medical melodrama. The main characters of the series are four doctors, whose prototypes are real medical workers from Kyiv. Different in character, they are ready to do everything to save their patients not only from physical but also from moral suffering.
