In the future, the polar ice cap has melted, Earth is covered with water and the human race struggles to survive on dilapidated boats and makeshift floating cities. A mutated mariner gets caught up in the struggle between the savage 'Smokers' and a child's secret key to a wondrous place called 'Dryland'. The mariner sets out to escort the child and her mother to this legendary land.
