"What does it matter" is the first part of the second series of the documentary series "Last War" by Public Broadcasting. The film tells the story of how the consciousness of Ukrainian society was decolonised during the years of independence, what mistakes Ukrainians made and whether they could have been avoided. "Last War" is a series of documentaries in which Ukrainian and Western intellectuals, historians, philosophers, writers and politicians analyse how long the Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on, what are its roots and why is it being fought? Why has the world been intellectually and morally blind to the maturation of fascism in Russia for more than 20 years, and why have Ukrainian society and authorities disregarded the threats from their northern neighbour throughout the years of independence?
