The Danish GirlThis is a true story of Einar Wegener, a Danish transgender artist who was inspired by his wife to change his sex. It all started when his wife, also an artist, Greta Wegener asked him to pose in women’s clothing instead of diseased model. At first Einar began to introduce himself as Lili Elbe, and a few years after he decided to do the surgery. A harmless game shocked the world when in 1931 Einar was the first man to change his sex. His marriage with Greta became invalid. Year later Lily died during the fifth surgery, which could make it possible for her to have children.
