"Batya" is a 16-episode detective about a distinguished operative, Lieutenant Colonel Stepan Trokhymovych Bezbatko. After retirement, he hoped for a quiet life, but his plans were radically changed by the full-scale Russian invasion. After a year on the front lines and being wounded, Father returns home. At the request of his daughter Lida, who works as a forensic expert, he agrees to help a young investigator solve a complicated murder case. Father did not even suspect that this investigator was his son-in-law. After the truth is revealed, the conflicts between the young and ambitious Yulian Synytsky and the experienced operative only escalate.
