The events of the series unfold after 2014 in a de-occupied mining town that is returning to peaceful life in Ukraine. Former friends, but now bitter enemies Pavlo Dotsenko and Grisha Kulikov become the main contenders for the position of mayor. In the pursuit of the townspeople's favor, the candidates, together with their wives, do not stop arguing and deceiving, which leads them to complex, confusing, and sometimes funny situations. Misunderstandings between families do not subside even after the news of their children's engagement. But will the enemies be able to unite, being on the verge of a full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation, or will they be able to become one family for the sake of the future?
