Gangster and racketeer Chili Palmer got in Hollywood, where he was to take the money from a producer who owed the Mafia. He decides to make a film using his personal experience and deep knowledge. And the script is written off life as mafia showdowns keep the audience in a feverish tension during the whole screen time. Gangsters of Miami, Colombia and Los Angeles lose their lives in this picture of fatal mistakes in a far more prosaic way than in the movies, but how many comical situations in this prose; a great script by Scott Frank on the novel by Elmore Leonard.
